"Beauty begins the moment you decide to be yourself!" - Coco Chanel (Part 2)

I have heard it said that the most beautiful woman is the confident women and I know that is true for myself in the way that if I feel good about myself, am confident in what I am doing, it changes my whole demeanor.

On my wedding day, I totally felt like a princess, I felt valued by so many people and truly honored by the way I was treated on that day. It gave me a glimpse of how God feels about us, about how we should treat each other and how it feels to walk with confidence.

I’m pretty sure there is something in the bible somewhere also that says something about us being the ‘bride of Christ.’

I know the reference in the bible means a whole lot more than just this but I know what it feels like to be a bride and I would love to walk around in my everyday life feeling as loved and secure, confident and special as I did on that day and the fact is, I should, actually I can.

As a bride you feel beautiful, you feel wanted, you feel loved, you feel secure. You know you are in the right place and you are walking into a future filled with hopes and dreams, filled with excitement. You are the bride of Christ, You are enough, just the way you are.

I pray that you will come to know how precious you are, just as you are, you are enough, you are loved, you are important and being true to who God made you is what He is asking you to do. You were made to be you.

Romans 12:5-6 – “So since we find ourselves fashioned into all these excellently formed and marvelously functioning parts in Christ’s body, let’s just go ahead and be what we are made to be, without enviously or pridefully comparing ourselves with each other, or trying to be something we aren’t.” The Message bible

I pray that something is released in you so that you can truly be free to be who you are, you can walk with confidence, you won’t feel the need to compare or compete, you can love yourself, you know like you know that you know, you are a daughter of the King.

Another quote that Coco Chanel is well known for is “Once you've dressed, and before you leave the house, look in the mirror and take at least one thing off.”

Today I want to say to you, next time you get dressed and are ready to leave your house, look in the mirror, look yourself in the eye and the one thing I want you to take off, the one thing God wants you to take off, is your self-doubt.

Take it off and get rid of it, take off those thoughts in your head “I still look ugly, I don’t look as good as her, I look fat."

Take those thoughts off and put on God’s love. Put on the words God has spoken over you,
“you are fearfully and wonderfully made,
    marvellous are His works,
fear not for I am with you,
be strong and of good courage,
before I formed you in the womb, I knew you,

the Lord is my strength and shield,
I am more than a conqueror,
You are exceedingly beautiful and succeeded to royalty,
and she laughs without fear of the future!”

And remember, beauty begins the moment you decide to be yourself.

Have the courage to be yourself today.
